Bio:

Sarah Nam is Vice President of AI Strategy and Partnerships at AbbVie. Sarah joined AbbVie in 2025 and is focused on integrating AI across our business and ensuring the realization of our enterprise-wide AI Strategy with each of our business functions, as well as AI-driven partnerships. 

Sarah brings depth of experience in working at the intersection of biopharma and AI. Prior to AbbVie, Sarah served as a global leader of McKinsey and Company's pharmaceuticals practice. She founded and co-led McKinsey's global service line on Integrated Data Generation, leading engagements with pharma and biotechnology companies and healthcare organizations. Sarah also served as the Head of Google Health Strategy, where she developed an enterprise-wide strategy for health and life sciences and gained deep experience in Generative AI as part of a leading frontier lab developing large language models. 

Earlier in her career, Sarah worked in global public health across 10+ countries in Africa and Asia. She served as a Senior Advisor in the Prime Minister's office of Ethiopia, leading the development of the country's strategy for pharma sector development. Sarah also served on the United Nations Expert Group on Pharmaceuticals in Africa, shaping policies and frameworks to strengthen markets across Africa.

Sarah received her bachelor’s degree from Harvard College in Chemistry, Environmental Science and Public Policy, a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School, and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
