Bio:
Deniz Kent is the Co-Founder and CEO of Prolific Machines, a Series B biotech pioneering a new era of biological control using light. Trained as an immunologist, he began his career developing cell therapies for cancer and later moved into the pharmaceutical industry to advance treatments for autoimmune disease.
Deniz earned his master’s and PhD in stem cell biology from King’s College London, where his research on liver regeneration led to the discovery of a previously unknown liver stem cell population (Kent & Segal et al., Nature Communications) and a promising therapeutic approach for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (Kent et al., Hepatology). Today, he leads Prolific Machines’ mission to bring dynamic, light-based precision to the future of biologics manufacturing —and to fundamentally change how biology is controlled for a healthier tomorrow.
